My First Christmas!

Christmas is finally here! I didn't really know what it was except I couldn't touch this big tree and I couldn't eat the fun white stuff underneath it. Then Mom and Dad sat down with big socks and I got a little sock and we played. My new favorite thing is a Christmas Hedgehog. It's like I can play with my big sister and not get spiked. I love it. I love to practice my tricks. Mom finally took a movie of me practicing. I'm doing a good job. I only get confused sometimes and when all else fails I give my paw.

Dear Santa Paws,

This is my first Christmas so I don't really know how things are going to go yet. I wanted to let you know that I moved. You won't find me in California anymore but please don't forget my sister, Alice. Besides eating the wire off of the leaves of a fake tree, I've been a really good girl. Though how much trouble can I get into in only 6 months?

My Cousin

My cousin Cudjoe doesn't like me much. I don't understand why. I am cute and lovable and I just want to play with her. She snarls and growls and I feel sad. But every once in a while she will play tug with me. I never win though.

Dog School and Winter

Have you ever been to school? I have and it's the best place in the world, aside from mommy's lap. My teachers say I'm a smartie. I have learned sit, down and touch. I am learning come and paw. I surprised everyone when I saw treats up high on a large dog crate and climbed the crate to get them. Then they thought they had tricked me when they took the treats away but I tricked them and jumped straight onto the crate just to show them my cuteness. I won! I have a friend at school and her name is Lola. We play together in the big tunnel. It's our favorite. She got adopted though and I don't know if I'll see her again. I guess I'll just have to find a new friend.

Do you know what is? I didn't know until I saw the ground covered with white. I thought it was food so I ate it. I think I like it but I haven't decided yet. It's a bit better than rain but not as fun as leaves.

Ps. My mommy made this sweet winter coat for me.

The Beginning

Hello everybody!

Welcome to the blog about me, Finlie!

Let's start from the beginning. I was born on July 5,2010 to my doggie mom Rock-E-Hill Cal Val Big Deal (Delia) and my doggie dad Prk Why It Matters at Table Mountain (Wyatt). I have a sister and from the beginning we were named Laverne and Shirley. I was Laverne. Shirley's name is Alice now and she gets to stay with doggie mom and dad.

My new home was patiently searching the internet to find a pup that was a smart, small but not too small, brown and white, Rat Terrier. I'm lucky I fit all the requirements. When I was finally found, I was destined for another family. Something happened and they couldn't take me. My new mommy was very excited and the process to get me from California all the way to Maryland had begun. I got to meet Gma, Gpa, Auntie Cailiegh, Aunite Kendra and Uncle Dane way before I even met my new mom. I had a great time at their house, though that big black dog scared me when he barked and the short one growled when I took her spot on the bed.

Then I got to ride in a comfy shoulder bag in an airplane. That was the start of the real adventure. After the ride I met my new mommy and daddy. I was really nervous, what if they didn't like me. Once I knew they would I was happy to see them. I got to stay in the best dog hotel while everyone went to Disneyworld with out me...sniff. I liked the girls at the dog hotel. They took really good care of me and I got to play with other dogs all day. Finally, mommy came to get me and take me home. I had to ride quietly in the car for 13 hours but I was really good and it was a happy trip. When we made it home, I had a nice bed made for me and I slept in my new house for the first time. Home Sweet Home.
